Jackie Cuncannan is a Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW) who provides therapy to adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, and other life challenges. She works with clients’ existing strengths to build resilience, deepen insight, and support lasting change. Her practice is grounded in short-term behavioral approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Jackie completed her master’s degree in social work while working in adolescent mental health. She later earned a law degree from Washington University in St. Louis and worked as a civil rights attorney, advocating for systemic reform in mental health services for teens. Jackie supports youth struggling with anxiety, identity, adjustments, and emotional regulation, and provides parent and school consultations to promote progress at home and in school.

Jackie also has a special interest in supporting federal workers experiencing burnout or performance anxiety. Therapy offers current and former government employees a safe and supportive environment for building resilience and clarity while navigating work-related stress or life transitions.

Jackie is currently completing supervised clinical hours toward Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
